EU funds J$ 81 million in projects for Tivoli Gardens and Denham Town

The European Union under its Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) implemented Poverty Reduction Programme (PRP), on Wednesday December 10 recognized three projects of total value J$81 million for community development in Tivoli Gardens and Denham Town. Two of these projects were recently completed while the third is about to commence.
The completed projects are the West Kingston Integrated Community Space - Edward Seaga Development Centre; on which J $30 million was spent to upgrade the facilities, and the Charles Chin Loy Basic School on which J$19.06 million was spent to rehabilitate and expand and the facilities at the school. Both projects are in Tivoli Gardens and were completed under the Poverty Reduction Programme. Approximately ten thousand residents of Tivoli Gardens will benefit from these refurbished facilities.
