JSIF’s Provision of Funds to Support the Construction/Rehabilitation of Parish Markets

In 2010 the Ministry of Local Government (MLG) engaged with the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) to partner on the construction and rehabilitation of six (6) markets i.e. Black River Public Market, St. Elizabeth Linstead Public Market, St. Catherine Musgrave Public Market, Port Antonio, Portland Port Maria Public Market, St. Mary Rocky Point Fish Market, Clarendon Spauldings Public Market, ClarendonIn seeking to support the Ministry of Local Government the JSIF explored options within its Portfolio of funds. Fortunately funds were identified and applied to the construction of a new market at Rocky Point Clarendon.
